IP68, type-tested LED strip lighting engineered specifically for underground tunnels and mines — not all LED strips are rated for this environment.

Not every LED strip can be used inside underground tunnels or mines. The particularity of this environment puts special demands on performance — moisture, dust, impact and continuous duty cycles all need to be accounted for at the design stage.
The evolution of LED strip lighting as a below-ground illumination system is changing the face of underground mining and setting new, unsurpassed standards. It's essential to source strips from a trusted manufacturer that can also provide backup service when required.
Our resourceful layout allows power to be connected at either end or both ends of the strip. This effectively doubles the rated run length, and lighting continues to operate even if the strip is cut or one power supply fails. The strip is built in meter sections, so if a section fails, only that meter is affected — the rest of the run keeps working.
Strips are typically available in DC12V / DC24V / DC36V / DC48V (needs an external driver) or AC110V–240V (uses a smaller inline driver).
AC110V–240V strips normally come in 50m rolls. The smallest standard cut unit is 1m, though we can support 12.5cm/unit for AC110V and 25cm/unit for AC220V — a better fit for large areas.
Lumen or lux requirements per meter vary by application, and different specifications are offered to match different output needs.
Operating conditions determine the required IP rating — multiple waterproofing options are available depending on site conditions.
Our underground mining lighting systems are designed for permanent installation in tunneling environments, as well as surface mining, open-cut mining, and commercial or industrial installations. They run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, using a high-lumen LED source with a long lifespan, high efficiency and strong spectrum performance — ultra-flexible, fire-retardant, corrosion, impact and shock-resistant, and suited to high-humidity conditions.
Because of their low power draw, new installations need less cabling and switchgear and can be fitted to existing structures quickly, using simple PVC wire ties — no extra wiring, no hassle. The system is fully modular, so runs can be joined together and cut at 1m intervals depending on the solution used.
